Mountains ADAPT Project meeting with Georgian participants
Representatives of the different government agencies/ministries of Georgia together with the diverse group of organisations and institutions, including civil society and associations representing local municipalities, participated in the first online consultations within the Mountains ADAPT Project to be carried out by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and Caucasus Network for Sustainable Development of Mountain Regions (Sustainable Caucasus).
The Organisers introduced the Mountains ADAPT Project and collected input from the Georgian participants. Also, the potential collaboration opportunities were discussed. Separate consultation meetings will be held for Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The Mountains ADAPT project aims to drive local-level action for climate change adaptation in mountainous areas through a small grants funding scheme for the South Caucasus and East African Community partner states.
